Its proven clay mineral montmorillonite (10%), coralline red algae (10%), and pure calcium-carbonate (5%) provide shrimps with lots of calcium, other minerals, and essential trace elements to support moulting and shell development. Shrimps must ingest minerals often as they don't have gastroliths (stomach stones) to store these.
