Nyos® LYQ-RED CORAL FOOD is a concentrated LYQ-RED food solution for corals and invertebrates. It contains microparticles in the range 5-20 µm, marine algae (Haematococcus, Schizochytrium) and larger zooplankton components such as Calanus copepods (2mm). Due to this broad spectrum, it is suitable for all types of corals (SPS, LPS, soft corals, azoo corals) and anemones. It is rich in amino acids, omega 3-6-9 fatty acids and astaxanthin.
Nyos® LYQ-RED CORAL FOOD was developed by reefers for reefers:
• One food solution for all corals: Contains marine particles in the range 5µm-2mm
• Also contains Omega 3/6/9 fatty acids, amino acids and vitamins
• Corals learn to intake food as in nature - this leads to visibly better growth, vitality and polyp expansion
• Can be added via a dosing pump and does not need to be refrigerated
• No skimmer overflow, no algae and cyano growth
• Ensures the phosphorus supply even at low phosphate levels
Feeding Instructions: Daily dosage 10ml/1,000 liters (10ml / 250 gal). Adjust the dosage depending on the coral load

1. What does Nyos® LYQ-RED Coral Food consist of?
Nyos® LYQ-RED Coral Food contains a balanced mixture of various marine components:
- Natural marine microparticles in the range 5-50 µm
- Natural microalgae with a size of 150-200 µm: The EPA-rich Schizochytrium, as well as the asthaxanthin-containing Haematococcus red algae
- Natural mussel powder in the range 200µm-1mm
- Protein-rich, natural zooplankton (Calanus finmarchicus) with a particle size of up to 2mm. This comes from the pure waters of the Arctic ocean.
- High quality marine oils, e.g. microencapsulated fish oil
2. What is the advantage of this composition?
Corals can only absorb food if the particle size is right. SPS corals, for example, need very small particles in the 20µm range, while LPS can also absorb particles in the 2mm range. Nyos® LYQ-RED Coral Food offers all of these components in one food. Due to its special composition, Nyos® LYQ-RED Coral Food is rich in essential, bioactive Omega3/6/9 fatty acids, amino acids and trace elements. It has a balanced nutrient profile. When added to the tank, it does not cause severe water pollution (e.g. increase in phosphate). Due to its special formula, it is composed in such a way that it does not lose nutrients as soon as it is added to the aquarium. It can be absorbed directly by the corals.
